Musée Balzac

The Balzac Museum on 47, rue Raynouard, is situated in the cute neighborhood of Passy. The garden outside of the museum is beautiful. (I imagine it would even be more amazing during the spring or summer.) The museum has drawings made by Balzac as well as portraits of Balzac and his family, friends, and lovers. The museum also has some memorabilia that belonged to Balzac, including his coffee cup—he drank a lot of coffee! The museum also has sculptures of Balzac created by his contemporaries. Admission to the museum is free. When I visited, a Tuesday morning, I was the only visitor of the museum, so I was followed by the curators (who were friendly).
