LaVin's "Loon" (from Montroll's "Duck")
What: Loon
By: modification of a Duck by John Montroll
From: original model in Origami Birds by John Montroll
Why: In keeping with my idea to have some New England themed models in my display, I wanted a Loon. There's a curious lack of Origami Loons out there, it turns out. So I found a nice duck, and played around with the head, wings and paper near the chest to try and get some Loon-like details. I'm rather pleased with the result, even if I do say so myself.
