This site is the semi-official English-language companiong guide to the Origami Tanteidan convention held every summer in Tokyo Japan by the Japan Origami Academic Society (JOAS).

2014 Super-Quick Executive Summary:

In 2014, there will be two separate Origami conventions in Tokyo:

The Korean Origami Association (http://www.origami.or.kr) will hold their convention, in Seoul, South Korea, the weekend following Origami Tanteidan (August 23/24.) As long as you're in Asia, you should consider coming to both! Space is extremely limited, so please let us know immediately if you're considering attending. (NB: If you read/speak Korean, you can contact the organizers directly via their website.)

If you're not a resident of Japan, and/or do not speak or read Japanese but are interested in attending either of the convention, please read about both conventions at their respective websites, follow any registration instructions there, and please contact us if you are considering attending or have further questions.
