MIT GRADUATE WOMEN IN PHYSICS

Welcome...

Graduate Women in Physics is a group formed to foster community amongst women - mainly graduate students, but also post-doctoral researchers and faculty members - in the Physics Department. Apart from semi-regular dinners (approximately once every two weeks) during the semester, we also organize events, provide/share resources and advice with current graduate students, provide information and contact for prospective graduate students, and set up a mentoring program for undergraduate women in physics.

What's New?
  • For current students and alumni: join our LinkedIn group! More information are on the alumni page.
  • Ambassador Program - Female graduate students from MIT are going out to other schools to recruit undergraduate women.
  • Margaret Wong Room for Women in Physics: Dr. Wong has endowed a room for the use of our group in the new Green Center. It is now finished. In fact, we had an opportunity to meet Dr. Wong. Check out the photos!
