It was a pleasant surprise to hear from you after all this time. I would be happy to suggest a few things to do in the neighborhood, places to eat, moviehouses, etc. (such as I know.) I'd be happy to join you for coffee or lunch if you like while you're down here. I'm afraid I won't be able to offer you a place to stay, as my ex-boyfriend will be camped out here on the 28th and 29th. Do give a call, though, when you're here.

I've been reading lots of books about totalitarianism and making plans for next year, which I will spend in the Czech Republic on a Rotary Scholarship. At the moment I'm falling asleep from a combination of beer, Asian food and ice cream. Naptime.

Email me if you want any specific info before you come down. BTW, the Providence Amtrak station is only a 12 minute walk to the Brown campus, or 5 minutes to downtown. Providence is quite a walkable city (when the streets aren't covered with ice).
