Dining Facilities
MIT Campus Dining has several facilities across campus that can be reserved for events. These facilities include the Lobdell Dining Room (W20), Pritchett (50), The MIT Faculty Club (E52), the R&D Pub (32) and the Forbes Family Café dining area (32). The five House Dining Rooms (buildings W1, W4, W7, W71 and W79) are available for residential-based events outside the hours of operation of the dining halls or by special arrangement.
Reservation methods for these spaces vary:
- If you are interested in reserving the Lobdell Dining Room, Pritchett, or the Forbes Family Café in the Stata Center, you may do so by contacting the Campus Activities Complex.
- If you're interested in reserving one of the MIT Campus Dining House Dining rooms (Baker, Simmons, Next or McCormick) outside dining hall service periods, please contact the House Manager for that Residence. Additionally, Next House Dining has a Private Dining Room (PDR) with Audio Visual capabilities that may be reserved through the Next House Manager. The Flowers Private Dining Room in Maseeh Hall may be reserved through Bon Appetit’s catering department. Please note that functions held in House Dining Rooms must be catered by MIT Residential Catering, Bon Appétit.
- If you are interested in hosting an event in the MIT Faculty Club, booking is coordinated by the Faculty Club Sales Department. Please call 253-2111.
- If you are interested in reserving the R&D Pub, please contact MIT TechCatering at 253-2735. There is also a dining area outside of the pub called the R&D Common that is used for the Faculty Lunch. This area can be reserved outside of lunch hours by contacting CSAIL at 253-5851.
