Description

This research is utilizing ubiquitous mobile technology to better understand physical, social, and economic factors affecting health behavior of a network and possibly design interventions promoting more sustainable preventative health behavior. The project's intent is to build a system and infrastructure of mobile and mobile communicating devices to capture a network of individual human behavioral patterns within a network of individuals. These patterns will be mined to understand the physical, social, and economic factors affecting and impeding sustainable health behavior. Understanding the effect of these factors on health behavior will aid in the development of more effective methods of intervention, utilizing the tools and systems developed in this project as a platform for administering and monitoring interventions for more sustainable behavior.

Relevance

This research is a technological platform to assess health behavior outside of clinics and healthcare centers. It will provide the technological ability to aid individuals in monitoring their designed health and well-being goals.
