MIT Audio - Visual Services (On Campus Support)
MIT Audio-Visual Services, located in 4-038, provides equipment and technical support for classes, concerts and other MIT-related events. Audio-Visual (AV) equipment and technical services may be secured by submitting a web form at ist.mit.edu/av/events, or by calling 253-2808.
To assure equipment and technicians are available for your event, observe the following guidelines:
- for equipment and technicians during the regular work day (Monday - Friday, 8AM-5PM), a minimum of 72 hours notice is required.
- for events after hours (Monday - Friday, after 5PM; and weekends), a minimum of 5 days notice is required.
- AV also has an events coordinator, who is able to help with planning and running events. Please contact Paul Shay (pdshay@mit.edu, 452-4639).
Orders received after the minimum notice time will be accommodated based on personnel and equipment resources and cannot be guaranteed. Last minute requests are not recommended and will be accommodated only as equipment and technicians allow.
MIT AV has partnered with MIT Copytech to provide a campus wide digital signage system to communicate messages to the MIT Community. This system of over 10 display panels and projectors allows groups, labs and departments to publicize their events for reasonable costs to a wide audience. To find out more, including how to submit postings to the system, see copytech.mit.edu/infinite-display-digital-signage. Recognized student groups are allowed one free three day posting per semester on the screens in the 5 Student Zone screens.
MIT Video Productions
MIT Video Productions (MVP) provides video production, post-production and live webcasting services for lectures, events and creative storytelling in support of education, research, and outreach at MIT. E33 Productions
E33 Productions provides lighting services for the MIT community on the MIT campus, including lighting design, event setup, and equipment rentals. E33 covers concerts, dance shows, receptions, and more, and will work with clients to create a professional lighting experience at a greatly reduced cost.
