Affiliate Parking

Affiliates may apply online and must have a Kerberos account. Learn more.
Examples of MIT Affiliates are:

  • Wellesley or cross-registered students
  • Non-employee commuters: short-term hires, consultants, contract employees, DAPER members, Alumni and vendors

Cancellation--Parking (via Atlas)

Cancel your parking by contacting the Parking & Transportation Office.

Carpool Parking

To apply for a discounted carpool parking account apply online and choose “carpool” on the application form.

Department Vehicle

Parking Coordinators may apply online to request parking accounts for department-owned vehicles. Visit the FAQ for more information.

Extended Parking Notification

An MIT permit holder who is traveling on Institute business may request to leave their vehicle in an MIT lot for up to two weeks while they are away.

Motorcycle Permit

Drivers who commute on motorcycle no longer need a separate parking permit. Simply visit your parking dashboard and add the motorcycle as a vehicle on your account.

Parking (via Atlas)

Faculty, staff, students, and affiliates who commute to campus by car should fill the appropriate online form to request a parking account. A Kerberos account is required to apply for parking. Affiliates must be sponsored in advance of using the online application. Learn more about affiliate parking.

Parking Citation Appeal (via Atlas)

All appeals for parking citations must be submitted online.

Private Transit Subsidy (via Atlas)

MIT staff or faculty can request a subsidy for their commute to work via private transit (e.g. Amtrak, Peter Pan bus).

T-Pass (via Atlas)

Faculty, staff, students, and affiliates who commute to campus by MBTA (bus, subway, or commuter rail) are eligible for a discounted T-pass.

Vanpool Parking

To apply for vanpool parking, fill out this form. Those interested in the Vanpool Subsidy Pilot Program must also fill out the enrollment form below.

Vanpool Subsidy Program (via Atlas)

Employees can sign up for the Vanpool Subsidy Program by using this enrollment form. A carpool/vanpool parking application must also be filled out by each driver.

Visitor Parking (via Atlas)

Parking passes for visitors are available for invited guests of any MIT department. Department personnel with SAP authorization may purchase visitor passes through Atlas.
