Limited Services for Residence Halls and Leased Buildings
Facilities staff maintains most, but not all, of MIT's 173 campus buildings. The department supports the life safety and building systems for the residence halls. However, cleaning and basic repairs are handled by residence house managers and staff. Services for the 14 buildings that MIT leases are usually provided by building management. The Cambridge campus buildings are listed below.
