Description
Brining samples into TRL/ICL from an outside facility depends on which tools the samples have been processed in. Therefore, it is reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and samples may require special cleaning steps and other precautions. The main concern is cross-contamination particularly when samples have been in plasma etchers that also process exotic materials. If permitted to return, samples are usually classified as gold contaminated, i.e. RED. Contact Kris or Vicky for more details. Samples processed in outside labs can be brought into EML without any special procedures, see Kurt for details.
