After the disaster in Japan, some European countries are turning away from nuclear energy. Meanwhile in the U.S., questions are coming up about plant safety and licensing, including Vermont Yankee and the Seabrook Power Plant in New Hampshire . But there probably won’t be an exodus from nuclear energy in this country. Supporters say it provides a huge amount of electricity to power our economy and can continue to do so safely.
