The following awards were announced at the awards ceremony hosted by the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering and the student chapter of the American Nuclear Society on May 11, 2022.
NSE Awards
Pablo Ducru PhD’21
The Del Favero NSE Thesis Prize shall be awarded to a PhD candidate whose thesis has been reviewed and recommended by NSE faculty to have made the most important or innovative advance in a field of research related to nuclear science and engineering.
Steven Jepeal G
The Del Favero Prize for Innovation in Nuclear Fusion shall be awarded to a graduate student conducting the most innovative work in fusion.
Rachel Bielajew G
Manson Benedict Award presented to a graduate student for excellence in academic performance and professional promise in Nuclear Science & Engineering.
Brendan Vaughan ’22
Roy Axford Award for academic achievement by a senior in Nuclear Science & Engineering.
Charlotte Wickert ’23
Irving Kaplan Award for academic achievement by a junior in Nuclear Science & Engineering.
