I have always loved physics and this led me to the Nuclear Science and Engineering department at MIT. I stayed in the department because of its small numbers and close-knit atmosphere. I love the fact the staff and faculty are so supportive of each student and take a personal interest in helping everyone accomplish their decided academic career path.

The toughest but most rewarding class I have taken so far has been 22.02, Introduction to Applied Nuclear Physics. This was extremely demanding intellectually but learning about quantum mechanics and its nuclear applications was fascinating. For me, the reward and the knowledge gained was well worth the effort.
